Harvesting Lettuce at 0°C Temperature here in Nagano, Japan

September 30, 2020 at around 3am-6am in the morning when I first experienced frost during our harvest. This is very unusual to me because I was a foreigner to this Country and the current season is Autumn or Fall and next was the Winter season. AndI thought, this is how weather varies in this place most in this village Kawakami where we are in.

We had a 210 orders from 150 crates and 60 boxes so we started at 3am harvesting. I need to wake up at 2am so I can prepare myself for the harvest. A cup of coffee and a bit of rice to start the day. Waking up at this hour is very hard right now since the Temperature drops even to 0°C but I hope to adopt this routine if i get use to it.

It was a great thing my Boss Endou Daiki prepare us a Bonfire out of woods to warm ourselves during this tough times of our Harvest.
